CPS PRAYAS

1. About The Program:

CPS-PRAYAS (Promotion and Acceleration of Young and Aspiring Technology Entrepreneurs) is a program focused on supporting the journey from Proof of Concept (PoC) to prototyping for young startups and innovators. It provides an opportunity for individuals, innovators, or startups in the PoC-prototype stage to benefit from the scheme, offering a maximum grant of INR 10 Lakhs. Participants also gain access to infrastructure and facilities provided by iHub. This initiative aims to empower and accelerate the growth of tech-driven ventures by providing financial support and access to necessary resources.

The applicant should be a citizen of India, which means they should have an official document like a passport, voter’s ID, or Aadhaar card. Applicants should demonstrate their ability to create a technology-based startup that can grow, and the startup should be in the early stages of development, with at least a basic idea and prototype. Students who are in full-time programs can also apply, but they need permission from their educational institution.

2. Focus Area

The CPS-PRAYAS program aims to support aspiring entrepreneurs in developing innovative solutions using Cognitive Computing or Social Sensing technologies in at least one of the following sectors:

  • Healthcare in Cognitive Computing or Social Sensing
  • Education in Cognitive Computing or Social Sensing
  • Legal Information Systems in Cognitive Computing or Social Sensing
  • Business Applications in Cognitive Computing or Social Sensing

3. Benefits

  • Startups or innovators can receive up to INR 10 Lakhs as a grant for a maximum of 1 year.
  • This includes access to IIITD’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as intellectual and physical resources.
  • Help will be provided for product development, commercialization, business concepts, and market strategy.
  • Workspace will be provided based on availability and the norms of the incubator.

4. Monthly Evaluation and Progress Review

  • Can last for a maximum of 18 months.
  • Expected to spend 20% of their time working with the iHub-Anubhuti team on promoting Cognitive Computing and Social Sensing technologies.
  • Expected to work in the provided space at iHub-Anubhuti.

5. Objectives

  • Transform innovative ideas into real hardware or software prototypes.
  • Experience a smooth process for quickly developing prototypes.
  • Giving a platform for young innovators with strong problem-solving skills

6. Application Process and Guidelines

  • Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
  • All applications will be screened, and only shortlisted participants will be informed about the final presentation to the Selection Committee.
  • The Selection Committee’s decisions regarding approval and funding support are final and binding.
  • Applicants must declare if they have applied for CPS-PRAYAS or CPS-EIR support from any other Centre.
  • During the program, participants cannot avail themselves of CPS-PRAYAS support from any other Centre simultaneously.
  • The deadline for applications is April 20, 2024.
