Venture Capital Internship – German/India Research Trainee – German Accelerator

At German Accelerator we are looking for a Research trainee who is keen to immerse himself- or herself in the vibrant startup and corporate innovation ecosystem in India and Germany.

Accelerator, Scaler8, the EU-India Innocenter, Master Accelerator and Scale-up.NRW address European and international startups as they transition into the world’s most thriving economies.

Since 2008, the German Entrepreneurship team has guided more than 1,000 startups with its global network of experts – including German unicorns like Flixbus and Celonis. Over 500 innovation projects, ranging from innovation coaching to corporate accelerators, were successfully completed on behalf of DAX-listed and medium-sized enterprises.

We offer a hands-on traineeship programme working with our India Program team to support startup
founders as they prepare to scale internationally. The traineeship will provide insights into cross-border
entrepreneurship and an opportunity to grow within the company.

We are looking for a Research trainee who is keen to immerse him- or herself in the vibrant startup and
corporate innovation ecosystem in India and Germany.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Conduct primary and secondary research to identify organizations that are actively involved in
cross-border programs aimed at supporting startups and small to medium-scale companies to
expand globally.
• Perform primary and secondary research to identify different schemes offered by both government
bodies and organizations to facilitate cross-border expansion for startups and small to mediumscale companies
• Conduct research on industry trends in both the Indian and German markets, analyzing key
developments, emerging technologies, and market dynamics.
• Support the writing and design of research reports
• Work closely with the team to strengthen our network, which includes government partners,
corporates, startup multipliers, and innovation agencies
• Operational and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Students in final year of graduation, pursuing a master’s degree, or enrolled in an MBA program
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confident and able to work independently with little supervision
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to continuously learn and improve
• Flexible and adaptable, able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
• Passion for startup, technology, and new business models
