We are looking for an exceptional individual based in the US or the UK to become an important part of our small, yet audacious Marketing team based across EF’s sites.

The team strives to build a brand which is magnetic to, and trusted by, the world’s most exceptional and ambitious young technologists. They do this through centrally driven channels (i.e. our website and social media) and campaigns, and by empowering team members across all functions and sites to leverage and build the brand attractively and effectively in their everyday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Talent Investors in EF’s sites (Bangalore, London, Paris & the US) to create marketing plans for key moments in the EF calendar such as Demo Day. Create, curate and deliver global brand campaigns, for example, our headline campaigns in H1 2024 are focused on How to be a Founderthe book co-authored by EF’s co-founders and the launch of our SF hub. It’s important that you’re able to collaborate effectively with the local sites to build the strategy as we believe that local insights should play a key role in driving global strategy. We know that our teams on the ground – our Talent Investors – have deep knowledge of our customers – what drives them, what they’re listening to, reading and thinking about – and it’s crucial these insights are baked into our global strategy.
  • Set and execute a global social content strategy which will challenge exceptional young technologists to think beyond the status quo, make the first steps of the founder career path legible, while simultaneously positioning EF as the best place in the world to start the founding journey. Partner with local Talent Investors to develop insights into our audience at different stages of their careers, and craft differentiated narratives for the launch of new products and events. You’ll own the execution of this strategy across EF’s social media channels (Twitter/X, Instagram & LinkedIn).
  • Work alongside our Marketing team to ensure that Talent Investors in every EF site are equipped to be effective field marketers of EF, empowering them to effectively leverage and build the EF brand in every customer interaction. You will become one of our biggest brand advocates, and will work closely with all team members to enable them to be effective brand ambassadors.
  • Work alongside the Product team to craft a differentiated and distinct narrative for the full customer journey through our programs worldwide, using EF’s brand and tone of voice to effectively position and define EF’s products and propositions. You will own the customer-facing communication and customer experience with local teams, understanding and mapping the landscape of competitive offerings and communications to bake these learnings into our narrative and propositions.

About You

Your traits:
  1.  Curious about our customer: You have a demonstrated interest in technologists and technology startups.
  2.  A doer: You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done. You understand when to make the call to find leverage through others, and when you just need to get stuck in to get something done.
  3.  Attention to detail: You have exceptional written and verbal skills, with high ownership and commitment to attention to detail.
  4.  Collaborative, yet assertive when needed: You thrive in environments that require you to build strategy and make decisions in collaboration with a multitude of stakeholders.
  5.  Ambitious: You hold high expectations for yourself and expect the same of others. You typically set the performance bar higher than your peers, and aren’t afraid to do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.
Your experience:
  1.  3-5 years marketing experience across content strategy, copywriting and social media strategy in a relevant/adjacent organization to EF (e.g. Series A-D startup and/or an organization with a similar target customer).
  2.  Demonstrated experience working across geographies and cultures, effectively managing global messages with local nuance and targeting.
  3.  Exceptional writing and editing skills, demonstrated by a portfolio across long and short-form content.
  4.  Demonstrated end-to-end execution capabilities; you are able to take ideas from inception to results, navigating blockers and managing stakeholders effectively to deliver ambitious results at speed.
  5.  Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with ability to independently manage projects from end‐to‐end.
