Susquehanna Venture Capital (SVC) is the Southeast Asian and Indian venture capital arm of the Susquehanna International Group of Companies (SIG), a global proprietary trading and investment firm founded in 1987. Investing in India since 2019, Susquehanna is focused on early-stage to mid-stage businesses in technology (Ser A – D). We support founders from their early days through each stage of growth. Our portfolio in Asia is 350+ companies with over 70+ exits/M&As. Notable companies include Agora, Bytedance, Kumu, Inshorts Group, Lentra, Mobile Premier League, Maya Bank,, Paidy, RedDoorz, and Wakefit. The Investment Professional will be part of an Independent advisory team covering India. Our work requires one to choose amongst all the shades of grey and we seek a colleague who is committed to challenging our thinking and interrogating the beliefs behind our judgments. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with entrepreneurs in emerging technology companies. Given the lean structure and fast-paced environment, the candidate is expected to be independent, resourceful, and take initiative. The ideal candidate should have experience working in venture capital or at an early stage, venture-backed technology company, although we welcome diverse backgrounds that have demonstrated analytical ability.

  • Ideal candidates should have work experience between 2-4 years
  • Proactively source potential deals, developing relationships with the entrepreneurial and venture capital ecosystem players in India
  • Identify investment opportunities, develop pre-screening materials, and conduct market analysis
  • Support end-to-end deal process including conducting primary and secondary research, memos, financial projections and valuations, due diligence, and investment committee presentations
  • Support negotiation of term sheets and deal documents, manage relationships with professional advisers including bankers and lawyers
  • Research market trends and map companies in key sub-sectors of interest
  • Analyze the performance of portfolio companies and elevate findings to the leadership team
  • Support the SVC team with regular reporting materials for the firm and investors
